Our Mission
Our goal is to simplify and advance the adoption of COLD FORMED Steel Buildings for manufacturers, sellers, designers, and erectors within their businesses We do this by:
- Connecting COLD FORMED enthusiasts
- Providing up-to-date information on COLD FORMED
- Promoting COLD FORMED to architects and code boards
- Collaborating on new ways to make COLD FORMED easy to make, sell, engineer, and build.
What Are COLD FORMED Steel Buildings?
COLD FORMED Steel Buildings are Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) constructed with roll-formed galvanized steel cee and zee sections. These sections are bolted or screwed together to form the structure of the building including but not limited to portal frames, columns, or rafters.
Cees bolted back to back become I-beams, and all members are connected with bolts or screws. No welding is required.
Why Join the CFSBA?
The CFSBA will increase awareness about COLD FORMED Steel Buildings in the construction and general markets. We will provide opportunities for training and networking as well as advocate for changes to US building codes, making it even easier to spec, sell, and build with COLD FORMED Steel.
